Whenever I travel to Rio de Janeiro, my go-to hotel is the Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro in Barra da Tijuca. This amazing beachfront resort has everything you need for a fantastic stay—super comfortable rooms, delicious food, and top-notch service that makes you feel truly welcome.
I stayed at a Oceanfront Room with a King-Size bed, and it was everything I hoped for. The room had a private balcony with breathtaking ocean view, a spacious work desk, and a large bathroom with a bathtub, high-pressure shower and granado toiletries, perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach.
Thos hotel offers everything you’d expect from a top-tier resort. It has two pools and direct beach access, with complimentary lounge chairs, umbrellas, and towels provided by the hotel.
The breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve ever had at a hotel. The variety was impressive, with freshly baked bread, fruits, juices, coffee, cereal and so much more.
For poolside dining, I loved Cantô Gastrô & Lounge, where you can order food and drinks while relaxing in the sun. I had a burger with fries, and it was delicious!
Another good restaurant in the hotel is Shiso, a Japanese restaurant, which is ranked among the top three hotel restaurants in Rio de Janeiro by the Veja Comer & Beber Rio 24/25 awards. If you love Japanese food, this is a must-try.
One of the reasons I always come back to this hotel is the amazing staff. From check-in to dining, everyone was welcoming and attentive. A special touch that made my stay even more memorable was the welcome package and handwritten note they left in my room upon arrival.
