During my cruise on Navigator of the Seas, I had the opportunity to spend a full day exploring the beautiful Catalina Island.

For this visit, I wanted a more laid-back experience—a day to relax, walk around, and simply enjoy the island without any adventurous activities. I also skipped breakfast on the ship because I wanted to have the full dining experience on the island. So, I started my day having breakfast at Original Jack’s Country Kitchen.

After breakfast, I spent the morning wandering through Avalon’s charming streets I took plenty of cute pictures for Instagram, walked along the pier, checked out local shops, bought some souvenirs, and admired the stunning harbor views. I even took a short walk to the iconic Catalina Casino. A Day on Catalina Island

To see more of the island, I decided to rent a golf cart—one of the most popular ways to explore Catalina. Driving through the roads, I made my way up the hillsides to one of the highest viewpoints on the island. From the top, I had an incredible panoramic view of the ocean, the town of Avalon, and the cruise ship anchored in the distance.

By lunchtime, I was ready for some fresh seafood, so I headed to The Lobster Trap. The food was delicious, and I loved the restaurant atmosphere.

After lunch, I took some time to relax by the beach and watch the boats drift in and out of the harbor. I even spotted a few fish swimming near the shore!

No trip is complete without dessert, so I made sure to stop by Catalina Cones for a refreshing ice cream break. Later in the afternoon, before heading back to the ship, I I took one last walk along the beach promenade, grabbed a coffee and a sweet treat from Island Donuts.

I had an amazing day on Catalina Island and would definitely love to visit again. The island truly has something for everyone! If you're planning a trip, be sure to check Visit Catalina Island to explore available activities and book a tour in advance.
