I went on a cruise vacation on Navigator of the Seas through Royal Caribbean. It was a 4-night cruise with two stops: Catalina Island and Ensenada, Mexico and let me tell you—it did not disappoint!

One of the best parts of cruising is the all-inclusive food, and I definitely made the most of it! Here’s everywhere I ate (and what I loved)

  • Breakfast – Every morning, I had breakfast at the Main Dining Room, and in my opinion, it’s the best option for breakfast on the ship. The service is great, the food is fresh, and it’s much calmer than the Windjammer buffet.

  • Dinner: I also had dinner at the Main Dining Room every night, and it was always a great experience. The menu changed daily, so there was always something new to try.

  • Late Night Snacks: I always grabbed late-night snacks at Café Promenade, but to be honest, I didn’t think the food was that great, but It was convenient.

  • Lunch: I spent most of my days hanging out by the pool, so my go-to lunch spot was El Loco Fresh. If you love Mexican food, this is the perfect choice! The tacos, nachos, and quesadillas were fresh and delicious. There’s also Johnny Rockets, but it's not included in the food package, so you'll need to pay extra for it.

  • Starbucks On Board! – As a Starbucks addict, I was thrilled to find a Starbucks on the ship. If you’re a coffee lover like me, you’ll be happy to know you can still get your daily starbucks coffee while cruising but it's also not included in the package, so you'll have to pay for it.

One thing I really liked about this cruise was the family-friendly atmosphere. It’s not a party cruise, so if you’re looking for a more chill, relaxing trip for families and older guests, this is a great option. Since we cruised during Halloween, there was a Halloween party and a costume contest, which was so much fun!

But my favorite activity on the ship? Karaoke Night! I had the best time watching (and singing along) with other guests.

Destinations – Loved Catalina, Skipped Ensenada

Catalina Island – I loved our day in Catalina! The island is beautiful, super walkable, and has such a relaxing vibe. The water was crystal clear, and I enjoyed just exploring the town and taking a lot of pictures. I’ll be making a separate post all about Catalina with tips on what to do and my favorite places to eat. Navigator of the Seas

Ensenada, Mexico – I actually decided not to get off the ship in Ensenada. I just didn’t see anything that really interested me, so I figured I’d take advantage of a quieter day on board to enjoy the pool and activities.

My Cabin – Small but Comfortable Navigator of the Seas

I stayed in an Interior Room with a friend, and honestly, it was a good size for two people. Of course, the bathroom was small (like most cruise ship bathrooms), but overall, the room was clean, comfortable, and perfect for the amount of time we actually spent in there.

This cruise was such an amazing experience! I loved the relaxing vibe. If you’re looking for a family-friendly, chill cruise with good food and fun activities, Navigator of the Seas is a great choice!
